The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a major update on the RRB JE Revised Vacancy 2025 notification released through Corrigendum No.1 for CEN 05/2025 on November 14, 2025 in which the total number of posts for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) has now increased to 2585 vacancies. Now the last date to apply for the post has been extended to 10 December 2025. After the extension of the recruitment the major numer of the posts are available now under RRB Kolkata RRB Mumbai and RRB Chennai. 1. Vacancies Enhanced in Key Zones
Revised posts have been added for:
- Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala – under RRB Jammu–Srinagar
- Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai – under RRB Chennai
2. Free Modification Window for Applicants
Applicants who completed their application earlier can now re-edit:
- RRB preference
- Post preference
- Zonal Railway / Production Unit
This modification window is available from November 25 to December 10 2025 and charges no modification fee.
Who Can Apply? Eligibility Guidelines
The eligibility criteria set by RRB for RRB JE vacancies are given below Applicants need to match the eligibility criteria to apply for the vacancy:
- Must have a Diploma or Degree in Engineering related to the post.
- Age limit should fall within the prescribed range as per category-wise relaxations.
- Only Indian citizens are eligible for the recruitment.
- Applicants must meet medical fitness standards set by the Railways.

Applicants who have already completed their application process can re-edit their application form through following the below given steps:

Step3: Select the “Modification Window” option.
Step4: Choose the details you want to update or edit.
Step5: Make the required change carefully.
Step6: Save the updated application and take a printout.
